Karen’s main curational focus is on producing exhibitions of photography through Shutter Hub, showcasing the work of hundreds of photographers from around the world in unconventional large-scale exhibitions. These exhibitions have featured in publications such as the Guardian and British Journal of Photography, and have been recognised by others in the industry as democratising photography through their accessibility.

Alongside curating photography, printmaking, and sculpture installations, Karen has collaborated with organisations such as The National Archives and English Heritage, and advised on creative and educational programmes for museums and galleries, public art commissioning, and developing exhibition spaces in historic and listed buildings.

Amongst many locations across the UK and Europe, Karen has created exhibitions for Cambridge University, Menier Gallery London, Old Truman Brewery London, Alfred Gallery Tel Aviv, 5&33 Gallery Amsterdam, and the international street art festival Pow Wow Rotterdam.
