She loves an adventure. Karen takes great pleasure in travelling for work and for fun, and combines her skills in photography and writing to produce joyful and inspiring travel stories.

Karen believes in making every journey count. Working closely with tourism boards, travel PRs, hotel groups and restaurants. She began her travel writing journey with this piece for Huffington Post, and has since written stories for Country Smallholder, Metro, Thomas Cook, and many others. Karen is a current contributor to Chicane magazine, City AM and Homes & Antiques.

On her (award winning) blog, I Don’t Like Peas, Karen regularly shares travel stories with recommendations for places to visit, stay and eat, and quirky behind the scenes observations – all interspersed with beautiful images.

She’s driven across Rwanda chasing lions on commission with Bloomsbury, bob-sleighed the Olympic run at Innsbruck, and been part of an annual cheese parade in the Netherlands. Variety is the spice of life.

In 2019 Karen was named Digital Influencer of the Year at the Dutch Press Awards, having been shortlisted for the ‘best online article’ the previous year.
